About

Tamara Anderson is a cinema curator for the Barbican Centre in London, where she has been in post since 2012.

Tamara's curation work for the Centre focuses on repertory cinema and has a cross-arts emphasis; her seasons are largely commissioned to complement exhibitions, theatre productions and concerts taking place at the Barbican. Tamara also works as a producer on live events, notably for externally-curated festivals hosted at the Barbican cinemas.

Before starting at the Barbican, Tamara worked for London's Cine Lumiere, the Gala Cinema in Durham, and the Glasgow Film Theatre. She was educated at the University of Oxford and Birkbeck College, University of London. Tamara speaks French and Italian, and recently completed a qualification in subtitling for film.

This website presents a selection of Tamara's various projects, including curation, production and speaking engagements while at the Barbican.
